basic_irish_sausages Basic Irish Sausages - This recipe is right from Ireland, and is one of the easiest there is for “how to” make homemade sausages. They are not hard to make, it hust takes a little time. A great thing to do on a cold winter day, because once this Irish sausage recipe are made, you get to eat them!

Main Ingredient: Pork Sausage
Difficulty Level: 2

Ingredients to make Basic Irish Sausages

1 1/2 lb Lean pork
8 oz Pork fat, without gristle
1/2 ts Ground allspice
1 ts Salt
1 Fresh ground pepper
1 Pinch dried sage or marjoram
1 oz White breadcrumbs (optional)
1 Pinch Ground ginger, mace, nutmeg
1 Pinch Cloves, cayenne pepper

Directions to make Basic Irish Sausages

Step 1:Mince the meat and fat twice, then mix very well and season. (Fry a teaspoon or so each time to check the flavor until you get it the way you like it.)
Step 2:Add the herbs and breadcrumbs and any spices used. Fill skins as usual.
